The sun and moon have a unique dance which they step to each month. Each month is unique, considering the sign in which the sun is in; and the sign positions of the planets, as the moon passes them, each month. The sun has its dance with each planet yearly.

Everything in manifestation springs forth in the shape of a star or spiral. The doe-sea-does (aspects, connections to each other) which the moon and sun engage in each month, is the same form and outline that all the planets, sun and moon have between each other - in all their cycles to each other (some of these are waltzes!)

The aspects depend upon the circle - which is always 360 degrees. When close to the same degree within the 360 degree circle, two bodies are said to be 'conjunct' or 'paired'.

The New Moon is the conunction of the sun and moon, as the moon 'passes' the sun.

Two weeks later, when the moon is half a circle away - 180 degrees apart - they are said to be in 'opposition'. They are opposite one another, in the circle. This is the full moon.

Each of the Twelve Zodiac Signs are 30 degrees of the circle. When two heavenly bodies are 90 degrees apart (three signs), they are said to be 'square' to one another. The angle they are forming (from the center, to each planet) is a square.

Each sign has two square signs - and one opposite, forming a (polar) cross in the circle.

The Quarter Moons are the squares of the sun and moon.

The square is the most stressful and inharmonious, of the aspects. Oppositions are challenging, but a lot can be gained or accomplished, during their inluence.

There are two other aspects, or angles, in the Zodiac Circle. These are at 60 degrees apart and 120 degrees apart (two and four signs apart.) These are positive, blessing aspects. They are called the sextile and the trine.

Lines drawn, from the center of the circle, to each of the angle degrees, will form a beautiful eight rayed star.
